Robert Downey Jr. was honored recently by Mel Gibson for the 25th Annual American Cinematheque Award in Beverly Hills. Nobody expected what came next… Robert Downey Jr. took the stage and asked the audience of film makers and actors to forgive his best friend Mel who helped turn Robert’s career around when he was at his low point. “Unless you are without sin, you should forgive him and let him work,” he said. Downey stars in Sherlock Holmes 2 and next summers long-awaited superhero team-up, “The Avengers” as Iron Man.
