Daniel Craig and wife, actress Rachel Weisz, hit the red carpet at the Madrid premiere of his latest film “The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo” on Wednesday.
This is the couple’s first appearance since their New York wedding in the summer. The newlyweds were joined by co-star Rooney Mara and Director David Fincher.
The film is the first in a trilogy based on the book series by Swedish author Stieg Larsson. Craig plays Mikael Blomkvist, a discredited journalist, who’s hired to investigate the disappearance of a wealthy young woman. He teams up with hard-as-nails, pierced and tattooed computer hacker Lisbeth Salander, played by Mara. Together the pair uncover far more than they expected.

This is the second adaptation of the film trilogy. The Swedish version was released in 2009, and was the largest grossing European Film of that year. Noomi Rapace, who recently costarred in the latest Sherlock Holmes movie with Robert Downey Jr. and Jude Law, played the title role.
