Stars Shine at the PS Film Festival

It was a starry evening in the California desert at the 23rd Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival on Saturday. Some of Hollywood’s biggest celebrities including Brad Pitt, Al Pacino, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, Charlize Theron and Tom Hanks attended the awards ceremony.

George Clooney was given the Chairman’s Award for his work in “The Descendants” and “The Ides of March.” Brad Pitt picked up the Desert Palm Achievement Award for his roles in “Moneyball” and “The Tree of Life.”

Gary Oldman, of “Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy,” was awarded International Star of the Year. Other honorees included Jessica Chastain and Octavia Spencer (“The Help”) Michelle Williams (“My Week with Marilyn”) and Glenn Close (“Albert Nobbs”).
