Mark Wahlberg to Start UK Feeding Frenzy

UK diners, who are looking for some Mark Wahlberg celebrity dish, are in for a tasty treat.

The “Contraband” actor is planning to open a chain of his “Wahlburgers” restaurants across England later this year.

This is a big move for “Wahlburgers,” which opened its first restaurant in Hingham, Massachusetts just last fall, but the 40-year-old star isn’t worried. According to Wahlberg, business is sizzling and its time to expand.

He said: ”A successful burger place takes maybe $2,400 a day. A really successful one does $6,000. We’re making $17,000 a day. There are lines queuing around the corner.”

Wahlberg told reporters the high-end burger restaurant is run by his brother Paul, who is a five-star chef. He said many underestimated his brother’s talent, but he knew Paul was up to the challenge.

“I would never risk putting my name out there in a way that would end up being bad,” said Walhberg. “You can get people to show up because of the name but they are going to come back because they like the food.”
