Drew Barrymore welcomes and celebrates the birth of her first baby, a daughter she and husband Will Kopelman named Olive Barrymore Kopelman. Drew’s baby girl arrived on Wednesday, September 26th. Today the news of Drew Barrymore and her baby’s birth was first announced.

In case you didn’t know Drew is one of my favorites and my daughter is named Olivia which is pretty darn close to Olive. Drew was the voice of Olive in a 1999 TV special Olive, the Other Reindeer.

“I just want to build fun, great things for my family,” says Drew. She plans on continuing to work with a new wine venture in the works. The couple released a statement saying their firstborn is “healthy, happy and welcomed by the whole family.”
