Robert DeNiro stars in Oscar nominated film Silver Linings Playbook and instead of an autograph Robert gave his hand and footprint recently. Robert gave his hand and footprint Monday where he was honored at the TLC formerly known as the Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in Hollywood.

Attending the ceremony were Robert’s girlfriend, longtime friend Billy Crystal and Silver Linings Playbook director David O. Russell.

“Silver Linings Playbook” movie follows the story of two lost souls looking for that silver lining as they attempt to regain control over their lives. Robert plays the father who has his own mental illness with OCD. Robert DeNiro really connected with his on screen character and became filled with tears when talking about it recently on the Katie Couric show.

Next stop for Robert DeNiro is the 85th Annual Academy Awards on Sunday, February 24th with 8 nominations for Silver Linings Playbook.
