Matt Damon took the stage opening the Stand Up to Cancer hour long benefit last night and proudly stood up to cancer in honor of his Dad – Kent who is a cancer survivor. Matt’s Dad was diagnosed with a blood cancer called multiple myeloma.

Charlie Sheen is donating one million dollars to the USO, the United Service Organizations. The money is going to be used for a Bethesda, Maryland entertainment facility designed to entertain injured military troops. The organization has said that this is the largest single contribution ever made to the USO.
