Rosario Dawson helped announce the Screen Actors Guild Award Nominations this week in Los Angeles. She stars in the hit film “Unstoppable” with Denzel Washington. Rosario is the Co-Founder of Voto Latino focusing on empowering Latin Americans to get out and vote. Rosario grew up in New York on the Lower East Side and made the dream possible for the Girls Club building the first and only Girls Club facility, a green community center to serve economically disadvantaged girls and their families. The new Girls Club Center for Community will open in 2012. If that’s not enough Rosario also stays active in Boyle Heights, California with recent work to rid plastic bags and go green.
