Some of Hollywood’s biggest stars hit the red carpet Saturday night, for the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences’ 3rd Annual Governors Awards. The event, which is an Academy Award ceremony for honorary Oscars, drew a celebrity packed crowd that included Alec Baldwin, Rita Wilson, Seth Rogan, John Travolta and his wife Kelly Preston.

This year, the Academy awarded three honorary Oscars. James Earl Jones’ six decades in film were recognized with a lifetime achievement award.  Makeup artist Dick Smith was given an honorary award for his “unparalleled mastery of texture, shade, form and illusions.

Oprah Winfrey also picked up an Oscar, for her dedication to helping those in need and raising awareness through her socially conscious films. “I never imagined myself receiving an Oscar,” Winfrey said as she accepted the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award.
