Taylor Swift received a special award and was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame at last night’s 41st Annual Awards Gala at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York. Other special award recipients were Phil Collins and Paul Simon. Taylor Swift hit super stardom at a young age for her musical talent in both pop and country.

Jennifer Lopez joined husband Marc Anthony to lead the 53rd Puerto Rican Day parade yesterday in New York. The parade was led down Fifth Avenue with Jennifer waving to the crowd from a cream colored Chevy convertible. Jennifer Lopez recently did a surprise dance with Tom Cruise at the MTV Movie Awards.

Tom Hanks was out on the town and at the premiere of his new movie “Toy Story 3” in Los Angeles. Other “Toy Story 3” characters Joan Cusack and Tim Allen also attended the premiere. Tom has also been busy filming the “Larry Crowne” movie which he stars in and directs. He co-wrote the movie with Nia Vardalos. “Toy Story 3” comes out this Friday.
