Beyoncé and her husband Jay-Z are proud new parents! The “Crazy In Love” singer gave birth to a baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter, last night in New York.
The couple reportedly spent 1.3 million dollars to rent out the entire fourth floor of Lenox Hill Hospital for the scheduled C-section. Mom and baby are said to be doing fine.
Celebrity well-wishers have been tweeting their congratulations to the new parents. Music mogul Russell Simmons tweeted: “congrats to my good friends Beyonce and Jay-Z.” Rihanna tweeted, “Welcome to the world princess Carter! Love Aunty Rih.” Actress Gwyneth Paltrow also sent a congratulatory tweet saying: “Welcome to the world Blue! We love you already.”
