Brad Pitt is going back to school to build affordable, green housing for the people of Kansas City, MO.
The Moneyball actorโs โMake It Right Foundationโ is teaming up with city officials to convert a 103-year-old school into a 29 unit apartment building with a community center on the main floor.
The $14 million project, which is funded in part by Pittโs foundation, also includes the development of a new building with 21 apartments.
According to reports, the development will be constructed to the highest environmental standards.
Pitt, who grew up in Springfield, MO., was unable to attend the press conference announcing the project, but is expected to be there for its completion in the spring of 2013.
