Mariska Hargitay’s family is getting bigger now that she’s adopted a new baby boy. According to reports, The Law and Order: SVU star and her husband Peter Hermann brought their new son home less than a week after filling out the paperwork. “We never in a million years thought it would happen this quickly,” said Hargitay in a People magazine interview.
The proud new parents named him Andrew Nicolas, and he joins the family just six months after they adopted their daughter Amaya Josephine. Hargitay told the magazine they were confident Andrew would become part of their family. “We knew this was our guy,” she said. “Everything about it felt right. It felt divinely right.”
The couple also has a 5-year-old child named August.
