Eva Longoria attended the “On Tour” premiere at the 63rd Annual Cannes Film Festival in France. Before the premiere Eva stopped by the Hermes store. “Robin Hood” with Russell Crowe opened the Cannes Film Festival. Cate Blanchett and Helen Mirren are also in Cannes. Eva Longoria doesn’t have a film in the festival but is enjoying walking the red carpet and recently finished her first Spanish-language film.
“Ugly Betty” star America Ferrara and Bette Midler recently attended the 9th Annual New York Restoration Project Picnic at Fort Washington Park in NYC. The New York Restoration Project is a non-profit organization dedicated to developing and revitalizing parks. Also pretty in pink recently at the “Project Sunshine Benefit.” Last year we saw Abigail Breslin in” My Sister’s Keeper” with Cameron Diaz and in “Zombieland.” She is growing up fast since we saw her in “Little Miss Sunshine” with Toni Collette. The movie is about a young girl who tries to find a woman’s first love and learns something about life, too. The message, it is never too late for love. The movie comes out this Friday.
Jennifer Connelly is currently on location in Michigan filming for her new movie “Salvation Boulevard.” The movie also stars Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear. The movie filmed yesterday in Dearborn and will continue filming in Ann Arbor, Michigan. “Salvation Boulevard” is a comedy, thriller due out in 2011.
Hal David, Chairman/CEO of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, today announced that Taylor Swift will be the recipient of the prestigious Hal David Starlight Award, to be presented at the 2010 Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards dinner on Thursday, June 17th at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel. At age 14 Taylor signed a publishing deal with Sony and launched her music career. Taylor Swift has sold over 13 million albums.
