Kate Hudson attended the Rainforest Fund’s 21st Birthday afterparty at the Plaza Hotel  in NYC last night. Almay hosted a concert to celebrate. In 1989, Sting and Trudie Styler founded the organizations jointly known as Rainforest Foundation. Since then the Foundation has been supporting indigenous peoples and traditional populations of the rainforest in their efforts to conserve their land and defend their rights. Amanda Seyfried attended the “Letters to Juliet” movie premiere last night in Hollywood, California. Jennie Garth and Cheryl Hines also attended the premiere along with Amanda’s co-star Chris Egan. The movie is about a young girl who tries to find a woman’s first love and learns something about life, too. The message, it is never too late for love. The movie comes out this Friday.

Jennifer Connelly is currently on location in Michigan filming for her new movie “Salvation Boulevard.” The movie also stars Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear. The movie filmed yesterday in Dearborn and will continue filming in Ann Arbor, Michigan. “Salvation Boulevard” is a comedy, thriller due out in 2011.

Hal David, Chairman/CEO of the Songwriters Hall of Fame, today announced that Taylor Swift will be the recipient of the prestigious Hal David Starlight Award, to be presented at the 2010 Songwriters Hall of Fame Awards dinner on Thursday, June 17th at the New York Marriott Marquis Hotel. At age 14 Taylor signed a publishing deal with Sony and launched her music career. Taylor Swift has sold over 13 million albums.

Jake Gyllenhaal attended the world premiere of “Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time” World Premiere in London. Jake will star as Joe Namath in an upcoming film once he finishes with “Source Code.” “Prince of Persia” hits theaters May 28th.

Robert De Niro is rumoured to be starring in the upcoming Martin Scorcese film “The Irishman.” He will return to a familiar role that launched his career playing a mobster.
